Took my son here for his 6th birthday and it was such a great idea. There's elephant , tiger, wolves and much more. I like that the zoo seems to be built around the natural environment. There's an aquarium and bird garden which was a nice experience. This place is a must visit for family trips.

The staff are friendly. This is the zoo we choose to take our children to because of how well taken care of the animals look. Would recommend to anyone, young or old. The food at the cafΓ© is really good too!

I had an afternoon to enjoy the gorgeous weather and hadn't been to the zoo in many years. I thoroughly enjoyed seeing the animals, particularly the elephants and flamingoes. The elephants were eating and wandering around, and the twin babies (almost 4 years old!) were so fun to watch. I loved seeing the eagle owl and a few other birds that were outside, but I hated seeing them tethered. Probably because it was early spring and it's always ugly and brown in central and northern NY, but the zoo felt a bit gloomy. I hope it will feel better in the summer. I did have a nice afternoon regardless. The employees I came across were friendly, and the gift shop has lots of souvenir options.

A must visit for all ages! . With a variety of things to see both indoor and outdoor. You will be here for atleast 3 hours taking in all the beautiful animals and scenery. The walk throughout the zoo is very enjoyable. . Food: There is an area where you can purchase food. Also you may bring your own food and sit indoors or in the outdoor area to eat(plenty of picnic tables and benches). They have vending machines throughout the zoo as well both indoor and outdoor. If your visiting during the warmer weather there is more food options outside like hotdogs and icecream. Price: I believe 2 and under is free. Ages 3-17 is maybe $7 if I recall correctly and 18+ is $12.00. That was the price as of 2 weeks ago when I visited. We go to the zoo a couple times a year. Money worth spent!

Each of the recent times I’ve been to the zoo was for field trips with my classroom, I have always enjoyed the exhibits and the food knowledge of the guides leading the educational program. The exhibits are nice and it’s exciting to see the animals, especially the elephants. The zoo has experienced some decline in the past few years though and there are not as many exhibits as I remember in the past. Overall I think it’s a great place to visit for all ages.
